The reaction of n-butyl isocyanide with human hemoglobin. 3. Temperature jump relaxation kinetics.

چکیده
The binding of n-butyl isocyanide to human hemoglobin has been examined by means of rapid mixing and chemical relaxation kinetics. It is seen that an extended Adair scheme (ADAIR, G. S. (1925) .I. BioZ. Chem. 63, 529) can be applied to describe the kinetic data. Two relaxation processes are observed which are attributed to binding of ligand to the LY and /3 subunits. The effect of temperature on subunit heterogeneity is described, and the thermodynamics of n-butyl isocyanide binding are presented.

Mini-emulsion preparation, kinetics of reaction and physical properties of acrylic terpolymer lattices
In this study, stable lattices of terpolymer butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, and styrene were synthesized by a mini-emulsion polymerization technique using tert-butyl hydroperoxide TBHP/Fe2 /ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid/sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate redox initiators at room temperature, and the kinetics of the reaction were studied. The reaction rate was obtained from periodic samplin...

The reactive intermediate generated by the addition of tert-butyl and 1,1,3,3-tetramethyl butyl isocyanide and cyclohexyl isocyanide to dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylate was trapped by 3-hydroxy pyridine to produce highly functionalized 4H-chromenes in fairly good yields

متن کاملThe Reaction of n-Butyl Isocyanide with Human Hemoglobin
At pH 7.0, ZOO, both in the absence and presence of phosphates, the time course of n-butyl isocyanide binding to deoxyhemoglobin is biphasic, and the two kinetic phases can be isolated spectrally and identified with the properties of the a and /3 chains. Under all conditions at this pH, both the association and dissociation rate constants of the p chains are at least 10 times larger than the co...
متن کاملp-Mercuribenzoate as an indicator of conformation change in hemoglobin.
When deoxyhemoglobin is mixed simultaneously with carbon monoxide and p-mercuribenzoate, the reaction of the -SH groups at & with the mercurial lags behind the binding of carbon monoxide to the heme. Analysis of the data shows that intermediate compounds are formed which contain carbon monoxide but retain the low reactivity toward p-mercuribenzoate characteristic of deoxyhemoglobin. It is sugge...
